By applying their skills in working with decimals and fractions, students in Mr. DeMattos' 6th grade math classes practice measuring in centimeters and inches to make their own giant clothes pin. An investigation of ratios and proportions helps students to estimate the size that an "average giant" would need to be so that the clothes pin would be the appropriate size.
