Students use a simple set of plans to fabricate a device that appears to defy gravity.  Applying their knowledge of reading various views (front, top, and side) the students make their project with a few 90 degree cuts, one 45 degree cut, and a hole of a specified diameter.  Successful layout and accurate cuts produce a device that "works" well and students are then required to write a commercial and present their sales pitch to the rest of the class.
