Music to My Ears!

Sixth grade students make complete sets of palm pipes that are used by large groups of people to play musical tunes in unison.  The length at which individual pieces of PVC pipe are cut is directly related to the note that it produces.  The musical scale was created and multiplied so that each student in the grade level and each of the visiting Kapalama students had a pipe to "play" ... making for wonderfully unique musical fun in a culminating joint activity between the sister campuses.
