No Mortar?
In an attempt to recreate (on a very small scale) the feat of ancient Romans involving dry-stack wall, bridge, and aqueduct construction, students enlarge a miniatrue wooden puzzle representing a Roman Arch Bridge. Given the desired ratio of enlargement, students measure and calculate the dimensions of each "block" that is required to build a larger replica of the structure. Applied geometry skills are essential as the students carefully replicate angle measurements of each three-dimensional shape.
