Have a Seat!

Mrs. Nahulu-Kirsch's dream of having a place to display and admire student works of art came to fruition as the middle school embarked on plans to establish an art gallery.  In order to give students ownership to the process, it was decided early on that students would take an active part in planning and creating the space.  Instead of purchasing couches or chairs for the gallery, students made benches that were designed to do double-duty as storage centers for art gallery supplies.  Even the upholstery work was completed by students... it truly became a project taken over by students, for students!
