What Part of the Whole?
Students in Mrs. Berryman's 7th gade math classes practice their skills in utilizing fractions and decimals as they work on concepts involving ratios, proportions, and percents.
Activities include analysis of bags of Skittles and M&Ms, containers of mixed nuts, boxes of breakfast cereal, pre/post measurements of polystyrene shrink art along with the tracking of stock prices, breakdown of nutritional content lables, and predictions of the percent of edible mass of various fruits.
